It certainly be a while since the last time I updated my blog... so this post is gonna be quite long ;P But anyways, here it goes!
St-Jean Batiste in Paris - June 23rd/24th
So as I said in my last post, I was really excited about celebrating St-Jean and really sad at the same time of not being in Québec City to celebrate it.
Since Mathieu (labête) was in town, and after JF spoke to me about the Québecois bar in Paris, my plan was to go to the alumni dinner, and then meet Matt & Sami in that Québecois Bar. I also had some weard ideas, like running in champs elysés with my Québec Flag.. :P
Unfortunately, it didn't happen as planned mainly because the alumni dinner took for ever (aiesec time, as usual!). On the other hand, the dinner was still pretty cool. I mean, we were still eating with one of the founder of AIESEC! If you have ever meet Jean Choplin in your life, you for sure know that he is undoubtly an "interesting" character. You can't get bored when he's around! Not because he is that interesting (not that he is not either, but he keep on talking about the AIESEC Fondation idea he has and how AI was wrong for years to not listen to him... not to forget the 60th anniversary book where he doesn't figure...;P), but he is sooo random!! Example : he start to bark right in the middle of the dinner just so that the other table start being more quiet! as I said, random! lol
Anyways, so we got out of the restaurant around 11h30, and I then went to the bar. The place was small, located in the 5th arrondissement, with the same 15 québecois songs playing, and some Unibroue at 10€ a beer... lol But it was still pretty cool to meet other Québécois!! We were maybe 20 Québécois in there, most of them with a Québec flag on their back! ;P So we stayed there until around 3am, talking and enjoying a little bit of Québec culture.
So that's how I celebrate St-Jean! Relax, but still cool! ;)

That what's cool about Paris, even when you are simply going to get a drink with friends, you finish drinking in front of Tour Eiffel or Arc de Triomphe! Even ghettos are pretty here! lol
